PREK TO GRADE 3 INCLUSION PARTNER

“Providing expert, step-by-step guidance to build an effective and sustainable system of high-quality inclusion for children with and without developmental disabilities”

Our Service

Our services are designed to increase inclusive opportunities for all children, align instructional practices Pre-K through grade 3, and increase student achievement for all students. Below are some of the services our team offers:

  • Implementation of the LEAP Preschool Model of inclusion with in-person and virtual coaching.
  • Developing strategic plans with districts and agencies to expand inclusive opportunities for children Pre-K through Grade 3. Customizing strategic plans for starting, scaling-up and sustaining evidenced-based inclusion practices Pre-K to grade 3.
  • Design Professional Development plans to align practices and initiatives Pre-k to Grade 3.

  • Build a strong political base for your inclusion initiative by supporting families, colleagues, supervisors, clients and the general public to understand the return on investment with high quality inclusive practices.
  • Build staff support for the work by systematically assessing and addressing concerns at the outset.
  • Align all policies, procedures and expenditures to support your inclusion goals and specified procedural steps along the way.
  • Create a Shared vision for where you want to be in 1, 3 and 5 years.
  • Select pilot sites, coaches and implementation measures.
  • If needed, develop recruitment materials and “Pay-for” systems for families of children without disabilities.
  • Develop scale-up plans and institute system modifications based upon initial pilot data.

  • All children, regardless of support needs, are excellent candidates for inclusion.
  • To be effective it must be all day, everyday.
  • Environments that are interesting and engaging for your children without disabilities, are also interesting and engaging for children with disabilities.
  • An effective and sustainable inclusion delivery system requires, in most cases, rethinking budgets, staffing, professional development and personnel evaluation systems.
  • Coaching support is essential to achieve and maintain high fidelity delivery of high quality inclusion.
  • The practice and disposition of leaders are key to both initial and long-term success.

  • What are the typical costs of a high-quality inclusive classroom, Pre-K to Grade three?
  • What are the multiple funding streams available to support the necessary personnel?
  • What population of children do we prioritize for the initial roll-out of services?
  • What are our existing physical, fiscal, organizational resources and personnel resources?
  • What investments do we need to make and what are the returns on these investments?
  • How do we create the necessary coaching positions to ensure the fidelity of evidenced-based practices at the child level?
  • How does this initiative align with and support the overall PreK-12 mission?
  • How do we create advocates at the School Board and the general community levels?
  • How do we negotiate concerns around existing contracts, other investments and union issues?
  • What are our sustainability and succession plans?

Who we are

Our Mission

Our team of Inclusion and academic achievement experts is committed to providing in-person and virtual support to schools and early care and education settings such that each client is provided with a customized strategic plan for starting, scaling-up and sustaining evidence-based inclusion practices Pre-K to Grade three. (See What We Can Do Together and Pivotal Questions and Answers website section for details).

Our Vision

Our school districts and early childhood education clients will realize powerful, measurable and sustainable returns on their investment in the outcomes achieved by children, the satisfaction of adult family members, the satisfaction and retention of direct staff, and the ongoing support evidenced by the actions of upper level Administrators, School Boards, Advisory groups and the general public.

Our Values

  • Children and families are best served when the agencies that serve them collaborate and coordinate.
  • If services are not inclusive, they are not high quality.
  • One solution, one approach, one size fits no one.
  • Coaching in the classroom is the only evidenced-based PD approach.
  • All the best decisions need a reliable and valid set of data.
  • When science has spoken on a matter, we will always follow the science.
  • Leadership is a lonely and often thankless job; we see you, we feel you, we can help.
